From August 29, CALS began welcoming students to campus with orientation and other activities for new and old students. The first undergraduates to arrive were students involved in CALS QuickStart, a summer program designed to prepare new CALS freshmen for success in college. Dorm move-in for all students at UW-Madison began on August 30. The first day of class was September 8th. Over 525 new undergraduates are expected to join CALS this fall.

The photos below show some of the CALS back-to-school activities that took place as part of the university’s “Wisconsin Welcome” program. A complete photo album is available on CALS Flickr. (Note: Dane County and UW-Madison currently require masks to be worn indoors, but not outdoors, as shown in these photos.)
